Better to take out the exhaust and use a dremmel to remove the spark screen and widen it.You can get a timing advance aswell to really pep it up.

Theres a guy who modifies saws on here called spud.

I recommend you speak to him about it as he really is the expert on this.Send him a private message.

In the meantime all.i could find was this american guy doin his 150...

Some YouTubery here that may give you a better idea of what goes where etc.

He only opens the exhaust outlet a touch, but it's easier to take more off than put it back (IME).

Make sure any swarf is thoroughly cleaned out of the exhaust before reassembly, and check the state of tune to make sure she doesn't run lean now that it can breath better.

You can take the saw to bits remove spark arrestor and put it back together or just take a 9mm or bigger drill bit and bypass it below the existing hole and that takes about 20 seconds... have done 3 of my own now and it still makes me smile giving this little saw a bit more potential.

I don't show the hole in the vid but can get you a photo , the pick up and cut speed is increased , I've never felt the need to do the timing mod as I think the saw is on its limits with the basic mod and if you need something faster after it you need more torque and a bigger saw at that point imo... it will never have the torque of an 020 540 etc .....

Great advice matty.I think your bang on there.

It is after all a pruning saw but once its moded its difficult to go back to the 201's on the harness.

The 150 is so light it doesnt even pull my treemotion down.

Only fault i have with it is sometimes the chain jams up,probably due to the excess crud in the narrow bar,apart from that a great little saw.
