I was booked up for 3 weeks last week so I took on a extra Subby I went on the tools as well to split gangs and used machinery where I could and we all smashed out some big days I've cleared the diary so I'm not sure what Im doing after weds now.

I always know something will come in, most of our clients like that we can turn jobs round quick

Anyone booking in work months in advance is underskilled or undermachined or understaffed or underpriced. pick away

Utter cr@p!

It's only the unskilled ones who can do it tomorrow cuz their so useless that they don't have much work on.

Understaffed - maybe, but I'd rather keep all my guys on in a secure job instead of my old boss who no one liked working for because he was a hire and fire guy as and when he had work, or not.

Well this morning everything for the week scheduled nicely , new employee starting and two lads back from leave , couple of phone calls later and it all change and as usual clients want work done yesterday so planning goes out the window . I do agree with earlier posts to keep a day a week spare .

Organising work is the easy bit, it's trying to organise it round having the kids when your ex will not organise days in advance, or if days are planned in advance changing them last minute.

I am dreading the summer holidays.

Need to find a decent subby climber maybe then at least my groundy and he can get on with the day
