How are the veggies coming along?

Scrapped all bits we were doing this last two years, extension and garage have swallowed up all the room and time. We only grew spuds in tubs, tomatoes in small thin greenhouse at rear but thats had to go for my man cave. Few mixed herbs, rhubarb in tubs.
In time i’d like to just get hold of a small patch of grass, big enough for me to build a shed/shelter to do some small milling jobs, build some raised beds and potter about really [emoji108]
[emoji23][emoji23] can live in hope i suppose ?

I’m toying with the idea of poly tunnel at the mo- thinking 8x15ft. Do you water manually or have an automatic system- I’m told they can get very hot if not careful, particularly if out working until evening and don’t get a chance to water during the day...

Can’t remember what they were, I put them in the tunnel under hay in October/November but nothing really happened with them. Cleared the hay away in January and topped up the beds with compost ready for planting this spring. Anyway the potatoes came up but I need the space in the tunnel now so had to dig them up

That bit of cover over the winter payed off for you.  Bit different to growing outside as I do. Duke of York first early are only properly now showing and the second early Charlottes yet to show. Im 860 ft up so can be a while for the conditions to be reliable.

A few pics of our veggies.. potatoes doing well, as are carrots, cabbage, broccoli, beetroot, cauliflower etc.. all are being harvested. Parsnips are slowly coming. Tunnel producing well too. Overwinter garlic and onions have been harvested and are drying nicely. Bees are bizzy too!20190731_213827.jpeg20190731_213706.jpeg20190731_213952.jpeg20190731_213749.jpeg20190731_213655.jpeg20190713_205711(0).jpeg20190707_161105.jpeg20190730_142540.jpeg
