Hi all I'm thinking about a Dmm captain and carnt decide on how to capture progress, so was wondering what other people are using?

I am thinking a pulley and e2e like a lanyard setup clipped to bridge when needed then can be used with foot ascender, at least with this idea it can be let out as well as in which I don't see how that's possible with a normal hand assender?

Hope that makes sense?

Thanks in advance RDB

I use a rope wrench and vt on my throw hooks and clip in like normal SRT and walk across on the foot ascenders and haas as usual for transfers , fast and works great.

Thank you matty, I hadn't even thought that far ahead, at least with a wrench it won't lock up the vt!

There is that , made that one of carbon sheet an old pulley and a RW pin tbh honest throw hooks seem to work with what ever you put on them even a dirty old prussik ! That set up is tuned sweet although a little bulky I do run it on liros or blaze usually though and have a carabiner in the epple hook.

The BOLA works well with the right rope for progress capture. It has to be threaded and Rei installed a small non locking biner (not my doing) in place of the teardrop at the top. The bottom teardrop can be replaced with a RE Nano swivel if desired, but I rivet them in place for the BOLA which does not use cotters.
