Pressure testing kit recommendations

Considering getting a pressure testing kit as i dont have one yet and figure it could be good to save rebuilding saws to then strip them back down when something is wrong as well as helping to find out what is wrong.

Are they worth getting and if so any none too expensive options out there people recommend?

Are they worth it....probably only if you are in to classic machines or do a reasonable amount of maintenance and charge for it. For the average arb type the expense may not be worth it but any tech who is any good and works on 2 stroke kit should have access to this kit.

Mityvac are good or you can fabricate your own kit out of a selection of valves, pipes, gauges and pumps.

Vac tester is the easy bit, making up all the port plates and finding suitable bungs is the hard bit. Another vote for the Mity Vac :thumbup1:

I bought the stihl adapter- worth every penny.

As for bungs, I just loosen the muffler & slide a piece of innertube in then carefully tighten the bolts again
