Makes perfect sense, But the heavier flywheel helps maintain revs whilst limbing- was a long time ago when it was all explained to me & I have slept since :lol:

 

Yep . It is harder to slow down once spinning and equally harder to spin up from stand still . Best analogy I can think of is a brush cutter . 2 strings of line spins up fast , come off the gas and it stops quick . Same brush cutter with heavier metal blade takes longer to spin up to full revs and if you then come off the gas it keeps spinning much longer than the 2 line head due to the greater inertia of the metal blade .
