Work guarantee

Recommended Posts

On removals I always guarantee the tree will no longer be there and thats a money back, cast iron guaranty

I should hope when you remove a tree it is gone haha.

I dont put guarantees in writing but i do offer a workmanship guarantee. Bsically I cant guarantee a lot of the materials for building or what the weather will do or any other acts of god. but if I do something wrong you bet I will make it right 100%

I'd guarantee that it will stay up until they paid the bill. 😁.

But seriously how can you guarantee a feather edge fence for example? It's rough sawn wood and as others have said the quality is not consistent. Obviously you can give your word on workmanship but I would offer nothing on the materials.

I WON'T offer any guarantees if we have to drag out through the house. I show them how to tape up the vulnerable edges and surfaces with cardboard and promise to be careful but the risk is theirs.

I put up a 50' long 6' fence for a client a year ago.

Job done well, went back two days later after a storm to finish the garden.

The opposite fence was flattened, other neighbours fences flattened.

Mine had leaned about 12".

All the postcrete had fractured and crumbled.

Took it all down, dug out broken postcrete.

Rebuilt whole fence.

Never using postcrete again.

I said to client about putting tiny braces on the posts into the ground.

"Not in my garden!".

I felt responsible, but gutted.
