Bit of fun

This bit of stringer poking up has been bugging me since I built the house, I always meant to carve it, even before I started carving. So while I was varnishing the f'in stairs in shite weather about a week ago, I thought I'd do it. Could of spent a lot more time on it, ....but couldn't be fussed to be honest. It's been like that for 10 yrs, maybe I'll revisit it in another 10, maybe not.

And no.........I didn't use a chainsaw! ImageUploadedByArbtalk1490052570.531686.jpg.806d1359dae2c1578c4421d5712703a7.jpg

Thanks all, yep mallet n chisels.

I don't think it's a trip hazard, not even a stubbed toe in 10yrs so it should be fine, it's a bit smaller now too, but now you've mentioned it.........cue the obvious.

:thumbup1: Fair enough.

My mother is a tetraplegic after falling down her stairs, she had lived in that house for 30 years with no previous incident. Since her accident I have be staggered by the number of deaths and serious injuries others have told me about involving stairs.
