FR Jones Chainsaw Sale: Stihl MS 261 vs Husq 550XP

In the dealers the other day and we checked the same spares across the 550xp, 261 and 501 sx. Stihl was considerably cheaper, with echo leading the charge for obscene spares prices.

 

Things will break regardless of manufacturer nice to know that when they do it's reasonable.

 

We will be going back to stihl from echo as kit needs replacing.

Resurecting a thread from beyond the grave but just saw this comment .... I was up for either but maybe leaning towards the Husky as I thought it'd out perform from threads I'd seen.

 

I rang 3 main dealers that sold both and asked all which is more reliable and they all said if that's a key issue buy the Stihl as we see a lot more returns / major issues with the Huskys.
