Spent a couple months in Saga Rose in 2006.

It was "work" of a fashion, but Caribbean islands and the girls of the dance troupe provided a suitable distraction!

I wasn't aware that the ship's quack charged but maybe that was a Saga thing.

Just read this:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/consumer-affairs/92000-average-cost-care-home-britains-costliest-regions/

Appreciate it's all a bit off track with original point of the thread but thinking ahead is kind of relevant.

My contingency plan was to marry a girl 15 years younger than myself so that she will be burdened with me when I'm old, grumpy and dribbling....

She'd say it's already happened so I guess it was a sound choice!

Be careful, I know someone who as soon as her husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, divorced him and took the cash :001_huh:

Sounds like a great contingency plan. We went to Caribbean, and on the first day found my young lad had nits. So a trip to doctor was needed for some nit treatment. Next day he got lost on the ship, and the following day cut his leg when a plate was dropped on his foot. So, another trip to the doctor, and another bill. Apart from that, was a brilliant trip, would recommend cruising to anyone, if your healthy!!!!
