I vow never to spend another centime beyond what I need to run my house in this country.

They are utterly indifferent when I show them a U.K quote, pout, shrug, wave arms in that way French people do and often say shit like "but it won't conform" or "it's not the same machine" or even plain old " you are lying you perfidious Anglais, your mother was a hamster and your father smells of elderberrys"

I've just been quoted €27600 including VAT for the zt1844 38hp by the Bandit dealer over here. That's about £24000! Ok, he offered me between €8000 and €10000 part ex for my Vermeer SC30tx, but how can there be such a difference in price?

Try £24500 PLUS VAT in Sweden ?

I am occasionally contacted by other French arborists asking how they might buy kit from the U.K

This week, it was 2 used chippers from a guy near Bordeaux who stands to save 12k or more over French used prices for the price of a few days jolly, ferry and hotel.

I help with bookings, translation and advice and am available on line or phone if required.

No fee, just for the 'bonne volonté'
