576 25" then ported 395 36" for most trees has been my standard set up for about 10 years.. if It's just cut n drop I'll take a 560 instead of a topper for the smaller stuff but that's about the only time I'll take a 60cc saw up.

If it is getting over 50" I may consider the 880 but I'd rather double cut on the 395.

Echo CS 2511T with 10'' bar followed by either a CS 360T with 14'' bar or possibly straight onto a Husky 560xp with 18'' bar depending on the tree as Mick Dempsey says above.

I then use a ported 365 special (non X Torq older model) with 24'' bar followed by a 394xp with 28'' bar or a 3120xp on a 40'' bar.

Sometimes use the 150 but prefer the 540 with a 14" bar as it chases through the cut well. After that it's the 560 with an 18" and then the 576 with a 28"

Most of my work seems to be medium sized domestic removals. If I was a young climber starting out I would probably look at using a ported 372 after the topper.

I would have a 461, the top handle will really deal with anything up to this sort of size. Get an 18" and a 25" bar for it and you're set to deal with all but the really big stuff.

I do have a 362 for general ground use which is nice for chogging down mid size stems, but I'd rather the 461 if I could only have one.
