Scaffolding pole as ROPS on compact tractor?

Realistically the scaffold idea has no hope in the event of a roll, I have factory fitted pipe type one on a similar tractor which must be 5 times heavier than scaffold at least.

I also have one from a compact tym tractor which again I can't carry on my own made from box.

Apart from a genuine one the only thing I would suggest is a decent bit of RSJ cut & welded with some decent plates / U bolts mounted to the axle as the original would be.

Keep looking and you will find one, until then dish your wheels out, stick something heavyish on the front and don't risk it if it looks dodgy..

Thanks all.

Sounds like I'd be better off getting something fabricated properly, and I will keep my eyes open for a proper one, though they're few and far between. I'll drive carefully in the meantime!

Will reserve the airbag ejector seat for emergencies, as I quite like my spine!
