Recommend me a pressure washer

Looking for an electric pressure washer- principally for in the garden, getting algae off sheds/stonework,garden furniture etc, don't want anything pathetic and needs enough power to blast mud under chassis/machinery too.

 

Probably looking to spend around £200ish...

Without this turning into a stihl v everyone else, i actually have a small stihl one. Had it for about 8 - 10 years now and its still going strong. Think it cost about £170 when i bought it. If i hadnt bought that one i would of got a nilfisk alto.

The best thing about a Stihl one is parts are easy to get and hence its easy to repair. Some other brands you don't stand a chance

Stihl seem to get good reviews so may be worth a bash, nilfisk seem quite good too.

Was going to get a Nilfisk but happened upon a cheap SH Karcher. The Karcher works fine for a bit of general cleaning.

I brought a Nilfisk after inquiring on here about what one to buy (maybe 6 months back). I am very impressed I think it was around the £250 mark but worth every penny. maybe a bit more heavy duty than I need to wash the truck and chipper but I would highly recommend them.

We had an expensive Stihl and it was rubbish. The cheapo karcher was miles batter. No model nos sorry.

Karcher gets my vote, had a smallish upright type one for years now and still perfect.

 

A lot don't know a Karcher will suck water from a drum, it's amazing, you can literally wash a machine with a few 25ltr drums of water and a small genny anywhere

Makes a huge difference if you've had a mess of a hydraulic burst or the like to get it all cleaned up in a few minutes.

Had a karcher , can't remember model but its a medium sized domestic, with a spool of light hose contained within. Twas a great washer but hose got kinked and damaged , it split / got holed in many places and wouldn't pressure any more. Tried to get new hose and almost died of shock at the price. Specialised fittings I believe prevent any other type of hose being used, or being made up. It remains to this day in the heap of things I may get round to repairing one day or will be canibalised for something else.

I bought a little nilfisk one about four yrs ago, only used it four times as I got it to wash the chassis down on my 90 and I only do that once a year lol.

Very good for the money, and I was told that they were made by stihl, if that's true or not I don't know.

 

Great little machine.
