advice needed for removing wood and brash from steep garden

Been asked to price removing this conifer hedge for a customer, I topped it about three months ago as the neighbours complained it was too high, now they want it completely removed. its about fourteen feet wide, average trunk is twelve inches, planted about a meter apart so a fair bit of wood and brash to remove. Main problem is everything needs to go up the slopes, out through a 32" gate, across a patio, through another 32" gate and round the front of the house. Other than old fashioned elbow grease any ideas how to get the material out in the quickest, least damaging way?

What's the neighbors garden like for access

Easy.remove wooden fences,fell trees onto lawn,winch up hill and feed thro crane fed chipper at top of hill.job done one day and no sweat.

Buy a arbor trolley and remove the gates if possible. Also infest in some ramps or scaffold boards for steps

I've got to say a raised fire in the corner, cut some of the trunks and lay them down, cover with corrugated tin and set a fire.

Less damage to the grass and it's a lot easier to remove a few barrows of ash.

 

I did the same to two large lyme and two pines in February. April not a sign of any work where the fire was, a while back someone suggested using wheelie bins back and forth full of the brash??

The main damage will be from boots going up the slopes while dragging - lot of to and fro.

Portable petrol winch and an arb trolly

Hire a mini tracked dumper, will take loads of weight but you'll need boards down.

 

Or hire a muck truck, lot faster & won't churn up the lawn & buy an arb trolley to tow behind it!

 

Or get a chipper that fits in...

 

Short of craning the lot out in one go, it's gonna be a slow job unless you chuck a load of bodies at it.

Agree...maybe ground anchor at top of bank with a lewis winch skid trees up bank butt first...or gravity fed chipper and down to trees and leave chip on site?pain in the arse but doable...

Can you not drag everything back up hedge line once all felled as you say it 14ft wide.
