Hand Cutting

Short (??) video of a job we were on the other month. Felling the bankings, oversize and hairy trees to the harvester. Forestry, not arb, but might be interesting/entertaining for some.

good stuff, is that up by the rest and be thankful? you can always tell a good feller by the way they step back as the tree begins to fall,as to avoid being hit by falling branches etc. nice straight spruce too.

Quality felling Wallis, enjoyed that, great tune as well.

Was the road in the winching section the A83? Nice part of the world up there.

.

Yep, up at the bottom of The Rest, and good timber. A couple of the big ones were getting two 6.2's from the butt.

Yeah mate. Good stuff. Worth gettin up at 6am for :)

Up at five, left at six.

Cracking felling! Love the big toppling 1 near the end

I liked that one too, was better live.

Great video , well worth it. And a good early start , I've known woodcutters to show up 10am and be gone for 2pm on a daily basis.

What's the red light flashing against the windscreen.

Red light was from the GoPro, forgot to turn it off.
