Loading isn't to much of an issue as we have a job loadall but rolling them while on the table could be fun at chest hight! I suppose I could make a gantry to walk on?

 

that could be a no go area. i wouldnt want the bench any higher than waist height with plenty room to step back (escape route) should anything roll towards you. remember when you have taken your first cut the balance leans to your side

I'm glad you had thought of that cos I hadn't! I've only ever used a horizontal bandsaw.
