Vermeer 725TX vs Toro TX1000 vs ??

Sitting down is always a bonus! However stepping on and off easily to grab the saw and the tracked machines stability, pushing/pulling power had the edge for me. I pondered for a while over a wheeled machine and bought the vermeer. Of course having both would be the ideal solution the ground damage vs pushing/pulling power problem.

Agreed. All these things are brilliant, but no ultimate solution in one package, unfortunately!

Greater L/min on the Vermeer is another point in its favour.

Also, tracked machines work better in confined spaces, for their size lift more, are cheaper for their lifting capacity and simpler and more robust. We have a stack of boards that we take to turn on and as long as you plan your route the tracks have low ground pressure so the damage is minimal. Horses for courses really. Also we can get a HB20, our ditch witch on a 10x5 tipping trailer and have room for a couple of bulk bags of takings, that is pretty useful.

The Vermeer is strong well built, well thought out machine. With operator safety in mind. And easy to use controls. Direction control can be done with finger and thumb. And all controls are close to hand. Business end of the machine is armored steel plate. Everything comes apart for easy servicing.

I'm thinking of an avant as well, have had the vermeer on demo and it was good, fast, easy ro use but the ground damage would always worry me, the avants just seem more capable from an around view.

Guys we now have Avant 528's available for hire from your local Orange Plant depots! We also have the flail mower, tree shear, auger attachments etc to go with it - if theres an attachment we don't have theres a nationwide subnetwork we can pool from so please give us a shout if you need one

And for what you gain from being puncture proof...

Foam filled tyres giving extra counter weight and puncture resistance, are the way to go for a wheeled loader. Can be pricey though.
