As John say`s root protection zone. Its rather expensive by the time you fill them with stone but its rated for heavy plant and trucks. I will be in the office monday and see what it runs out at.

Thanks Bob and John (you can tell I'm not an arborist!)

 

I may start a parallel thread in the near future as we are wanting to put an access track in to a new shed which will involve crossing the roots of a shelter belt we have around our garden, and I would prefer to protect the trees as much as possible.

At the end of the track is the site of JB`s new SM fetish dungeon :001_smile:

 

Surveyors came out in the week to mark this lot out with some fancy laser/gps driven gizmo. Our lads dug out the footings and poured 100 tons of concrete.
