  2. Dan, it will also do that - though coal is worse than wood, and of course mixed fuels where the water from the wood can react with the coal smoke to form acids - OK if the chimney is hot and it won't condense.
  3. You’re an engineer Dan. You know it makes sense.
  4. Yeah, went wrong, but so did the Japanese ones... I was expecting it to be more spectacular that was all - still a good clip to see though
  5. @Mark_Skyland didn’t the X models have an improved carb?

  12. Morning all, Throwing it down here, but I don't do Fridays on site anyway. Bit of office work then domestic bliss. The mewp was a joy to use yesterday now it is behaving itself. I chose to put oversize pads under the outriggers as the ground was pretty soft. Hope your day goes ok in this weather.
  13. Its that popular Poplar again . 🙂
  14. I’ve used the TP 175D a few times but never owned one. It’s a solid tracked chipper and handles rough ground well. The feed system is strong, but it can bog down if the blades get dull. And parts are on the pricier side, so keep that in mind. If you’re working on uneven or muddy areas, it’s a good machine.
  15. Hi Jason What are your rates for planting. Got a couple of weeks spare the now. How many lads do you need and where, type of planting etc. Regards Wullie

  19. Anyone had experience with this chipper? Would love something bigger and better but budget won’t stretch. A lot of brash from hedgelaying to do, bigger stuff cut up for firewood, so (though time consuming) 12mm capacity would be sufficient if it’s up to the job. Thanks in advance for any advice
  20. Batten down the hatches folks.

  23. As @Muddy42 says. Perhaps you need to go back to basics. Begin by putting a pump and gauge on the fuel inlet to the carb and see if the inlet valve holds pressure, pump it to 5PSI and the needle should hold if there is no depression in the venturi.
