Saw the clip, but wasn't like it all went wrong and off the rails - I think the early Japanese ones did the same too.

Hot fire or not, every stove manual ever written will tell you not to burn wet wood. A neighbour of mine managed to totally block his new cowl and flue in one season, requiring replacement at some cost. Chimney fires can destroy your flue liner, chimney pot etc or even worse case burn your house down. Its simply not worth gambling here!

Morning all, Throwing it down here, but I don't do Fridays on site anyway. Bit of office work then domestic bliss. The mewp was a joy to use yesterday now it is behaving itself. I chose to put oversize pads under the outriggers as the ground was pretty soft. Hope your day goes ok in this weather.

Its that popular Poplar again . 🙂

I’ve used the TP 175D a few times but never owned one. It’s a solid tracked chipper and handles rough ground well. The feed system is strong, but it can bog down if the blades get dull. And parts are on the pricier side, so keep that in mind. If you’re working on uneven or muddy areas, it’s a good machine.

As @Muddy42 says. Perhaps you need to go back to basics. Begin by putting a pump and gauge on the fuel inlet to the carb and see if the inlet valve holds pressure, pump it to 5PSI and the needle should hold if there is no depression in the venturi. -

I remember buying my first 2511, I think, most of ten years ago now. As I picked up the saw, I remarked to the dealer: I'll be needing a replacement exhaust cover in a few months by the look of them. But just one, in all that time! I think that's the only part I've ever put on the saw, apart from chains !? Stunningly reliable

Yes I checked that. He needed to replace all the fuel lines, clean the tank and some injection cleaner or the like. Anyway, not my problem.
