Igor has had a bit of a improvement lately. Slipped seamlessly into the routine of staying at home, short walks and eating good food. Arthritis under control, doesn’t seem to have as many fits. Health generally good these days, didn’t think he’d make Christmas but looks like he’ll go on for a bit yet.

We also had a land agent who was excellent and we talked through our options over the 2 yrs, his advice once we had a sale agreed was take the sale and run.

Maybe fuel from a certain garage is dire then, and i should use fuel from a different garage! But the will be weeks where it doesn't get used ,thats when the damage seems to happen -pipes going brittle and carbs playing up... and in the sediment bowl is a dubious white grease/lard deposit

That is exactly the point. The BBC could never prove that Trump was the most corrupt US president. Especially as only one US President has resigned due to corruption (Nixon). It was unsafe and unprovable so it was removed. Seems fair to me. And yes I agree there is undoubtedly a degree of corruption in the Trump administration. And Biden’s and Obama’s etc, etc. And indeed the current Uk government, the previous government, and so on. Much as I sometimes hate the media, we really do depend on them to point the finger when there is evidence. But am I OK with them self censoring? Yes absolutely, if Trump has made them examine their output to see if it is accurate then thank Trump for that. Remember that as long as they can prove the accuracy of a statement they cannot be sued for it. The problem is if they start making statements or giving opinions which are disputed. We could argue all year about who was the most corrupt US President; but if you state that Trump said this and did that then as long as he did, that cannot end up in court. I do however agree that freedom of speech in the UK is being seriously undermined at the moment, but that is largely by our own government. The fact we even have a free speech union is shocking enough. And the examples recently of arrests for what people have said are state over-reach becoming very sinister. But the finger of blame points at our controlling establishment (government, police, councils, schools, universities) not Trump.

Another thing that properly boils my pith: When householders/gardeners historically tip their garden waste into the neighbouring woodland... it's blatantly and obviously fly-tipping (therefore illegal), but impossible to prosecute, without trip-cam evidence, or similar, I'd guess.. One Cheshire woodland I worked in has several hook-loaders worth of garden debris, from just five large houses (£1m+).. But two successive land agents haven't exactly done much about it, despite my questions.. 🤔 Gurr..

I think the term "father" might be a bit of a stretch deciding whose daddy must get tiring.

I dont think that you would many employees left if you didnt pay them for 5 hours of work! Would you do it for nothing?

Sorry, only just seen this! On the ground so far, working through my tickets, dragging, cutting and rigging, and running the log grabs etc. Crane job was a particular highlight so far!

Just realised you meant truck! What a dullard! It is a 2.8ltr four banger. I am told it was this years m9del and registered before the changes in tax code etc! Used another tank today and got 21.4mpg. Bit leery at times, especially on a wet, diesel soaked roundabout! Wheel spin and opposite lock. Comfortable enough but oddly, has a stepped gear shift and a manual hand brake. Automatic headlights but not wipers and the lane advisor is nasty!

Hazel binders for hedge laying
Guo7 replied to Bob The Dog's question in Homeowners Tree Advice Forum
Worth trying a couple of the local coppice lads around Herefordshire – a few still cut decent hazel each winter and usually have binders and stakes stacked. Also check with the Small Woods Association groups in the area, they often know who’s got fresh hazel in. For 63m you’ll need a fair bundle, so best to ring ahead before you drive out. -
