After a year's use with mine, I'd say you'll find that you get used to it, within a week or two. But do avoid/be extremely careful when cutting with the top-side of the bar... it does have really lethal kick back. Always use cut resistant gloves AND sleeves. No 'one handing ' ever ! The set-up on the equivalent 40v Makita pruning saw however, is much nicer to use. Tho the 18v Makita version is a bit underwhelming for professional use IMO. The Sthil AGT40 was OK, too.

No, I rarely leave running, it hands on my harness hooks and I stop and start my saw so often that I've also just had to replace the white plastic cog the metal pawls mesh with in the starter. So a real mix on here, from scorched bellies and melted saw pants to those still on the original after years of abuse.

We are considering purchasing a new TP 175D Tracked machine. Has anyone owned or operated this model machine ? Any thoughts or advice, would be appreciated. Cheers

There is a diesel feed tap on the diesel filter housing. Very easy to leave shut after doing maintenance work and forgetting which way is open. Worth checking.

Not had a chance yet as there are quite a few machines in the workshop. I will hopefully get a bit of time in there this week to check it out.

I've had a go on Regs grapple. It noticeable out performs Captain. Easy to throw and store. But more importantly catches bigger branches easier as well as setting on all size branches easier.

Possible, there have been numerous more devices released since then also, blackbird, throttle, akimbo 2, the other rope runner, the ISC thing. Perhaps the market isn't as lucrative now as there are more options. I just spend a day climbing on two BDBs they will take some beating..

Another scientific fact, if you can't tell the difference between an arse and a fanny you're going to get into trouble.

@Johnsond yeah I heard of it. Shouldn't exist! Wage every month enough to live a decent life and raise & educate two kids. That must be the normal. Or society heads in a hurry to self destruction.
-
@pleasant ah nevermind about that... Coltan is mined by almost every black individual(even kids) in DRC(Congo)... its called blood Coltan, because every day some guy or kid dies in mine shafts that collapse and bury them alive... What a hell, this is the world we live in today... better get used to it... 😱
