  2. Well done, you can use Google, top of the class for you. Try digging a bit deeper, 40% of Staffordshires water is pumped from underground.
  3. I'll chuck a few shillings in bud, never used Andy's myself but a life long friend of mine used it to good affect for a while. Unfortunately life got to much for him and he did the same thing as your mate during covid, when the service/group wasn't available.
  4. so to be accurate and realistic, this has nothing to do with a tree, but a boundary dispute, of which you claim has been verified and he despite your apparent proof of its true location he intends to enter your property and cut your tree down to put a shed on land he doesn't own. how am I doing so far? I'm seeing a further post by Stubby and I'm inclined to agree with him, a solicitor should be your next port of call.
  5. Student tells court he 'did not know' police officers he hit at Manchester Airport were women APPLE.NEWS A student has told a jury he did not know that two police officers he hit to the floor within seconds at... Unbelievably this crap is still being dragged out at taxpayers expense
  6. Indeed. It's almost poetic. Trump fanned the flames in a tinderbox, and now wonders why his pants are on fire. He has always been a useful idiot. Trump himself and his supporters have been played like fools. All this clatter just to get JD Vance installed. The "Tech Bro's" will be laughing their backs off:

Mine had a shoot or two, probably grazed by chickens. It’s been dry too. Will throw some wire on it.
  10. never really thought about pics, wasn't so many cameras like these days, no mobiles, not much internet, photos generally were more in the realms of "evidence" for the case. might have a few kicking about somewhere, I'll try and find some. and yes, I have had a full life, some of the things I have done , looking back were pretty extreme too.

  12. Morning all. Late up this morning but I'm worth it. Been a good week, busy and interesting. Some river work, a wee crane dismantle, some formative pruning, and the company of a work experience lad. I've been impressed with a 17yr old that's been early every morning, hasn't touched his phone, has sound mechanical and tractor skills (he's from a farm), and a calm, problem solving attitude. And he went to the top of a Sycamore yesterday, no drama for a first time in harness. It's been heartening. We'll keep in touch with Jamie. A flavour of the week... Have a good one folks.
  13. Got a ported 660, was running fine then after a few minutes cutting it would start to race, am I correct in saying this sounds like a seals gone? When adjusting the Carb/low/high it's difficult to get it to any sort of usable speed. I've checked the air intake boot and the seals on the carb which appear to be ok, can anyone recommend a pressure/vacuum gauge that would work? Any help is welcome. Thanks
  14. 200L over six months works out as a litre a day. A couple of big saws would easily gobble that up. My previous 25L Rotatech oil, with still a couple litres left, was opened Jan '24.

    Jokes???

  18. I have the Record No.6 fore plane I queued for in the fifties, It was a Saturday morning in a dedicated tool shop, Skeet and Jeffes, and one took a plastic number from a caddy and waited to be called, the service was terrible. It's under my bed to keep it rust free. We have a cluster of asbestos related disease locally, associated with the local gasket factory, the medical officer, my GP in 1972, was in denial about it then, when I left the practice (after 71 years) I noticed his name was not in the practice history.
  19. Yes, it's a very long time since I was involved in conifer plantation forestry and I cannot remember it causing significant damage to douglas but things have moved on and its hotter and drier plus you are a few hundred miles south and further from the coast, so hotter still.

  25. Has anyone use POR15 to seal an aluminium fuel tank? did it work?
  26. Hi Mowandgo! Did you ever figure out was causing your mantis Honda gx25 tiller to cut out at high rpm? I replaced the fuel filter and lines on mine and fixed the engine from turning off today and it seemed to run fine for awhile at full throttle but started to lose a little power and almost seemed like it was skipping, it’s extremely hot today in NC. but I’m thinking it’s the coil or valves. It has new plug, air and fuel filter and fuel lines. checked the oil to make sure it was ok, it was full but like thin cooked hot water. I’ve never understood how lawn mowers, motorcycles and tillers last so long. It was having the exact same issues as yours though, been a great tiller. Thanks and have a great one. sundrop.
