  2. Yes, the clone exhaust and cover should fit nicely on the genuine Echo saw. I did not swap the exhaust as I did not want to disturb the original... I'd expect the clone cover to melt if tried with the original exhaust, as the original is open at the bottom, to allow the gas out. If you had wanted to use the original cover on a clone exhaust, the cover would need modifying, not sure why anyone might want to but since I had it off, I tried it. While I was there, the clone has felt slightly low on power. Checked the plug and its been running rich. I've never touched the carb, so probably needs a slight adjustement.

We have a large driveway that can be easily reversed onto for wood to be tipped. If you let us know a time we can make sure cars are moved out of the way before you arrive. We will give you £20 on drop off for the logs/rounds.

  6. Thanks for the replies. Do you/ your operators all have a grapple saw specific qualification?
  7. Portugal apparently.
  8. Hello, just on the off chance you wouldn't be available tomorrow by any chance? Job in romford reduce a small poplar tree. Couple of hours max would give a decent day's pay. Regular climber done his back. Thanks Roger Adl tree services ltd
  9. Maybe we can have an Oprah book club kinda sticker ?
  10. See Mark, this is why you never made it as a literary critic in the Sunday press..
  11. I am not that concerned about the chip size and uniformity. The only downside having smaller chips is this may slow down the chipping. My main problem with GL&D was the size, as I am height limited, but they definitely look good.
  12. Not so with mine, it exhausts into a concrete lined brick chimney, good draw and no noticeable smoke into room. The uninsulated chimney acts as a storage heater when the stove is lit all the time, radiating heat into the room and the upstairs one 24 hours a day.
  13. Another option is to get both exhaust and cover from a clone 2511 saw. The exhaust is one part that people say is an improvement and the cover does appear more robust. I know the exhaust is a straight swap, unsure about the cover... But I have both.. give me a couple hours and I can try it.
  14. You heard of the minimum wage.
  15. Covex, the office at MDL POWER UP have printed their own (brief) paper manual, in English, if you need one. -I doubt you'd need it tho! I really can't see any chance of making clean, normal-sized chippings using this machine, sadly. I'm now looking at the more expensive G l & d chipper, with tracks -but no feed roller. 🙄
  16. thanks. Just to be clear on the liner, it sounds like you just have a short section of metal liner poked up the chimney and then its original clay liner thereafter to the top? Is that right? A friend has a stove like that and Ive helped them clean it. It wasn't very dirty. Its old school, and no doubt the safety police will jump up and down but seems to work ok. That's my issue with modern stoves. The old ones were simple fires in a box that would cope with a wide range of flue drafts and conditions. Lots or air in/outflow would overcome any cold air in the flue very quickly. Modern ecodesign stoves need the conditions of the flue to be just right - lined the whole way to the top, flue insulation, potentially an anti-downdraft cowl to correct for the stoves inadequacies at £300+VAT. Its all great for the stove installing industry! James at Clearview has written extensively on this topic and performed some side-by-side tests: ECO DESIGN ISSUES AND FEEDBACK | Clearview Stoves WWW.CLEARVIEWSTOVES.COM

  21. It's because he's a part-time climber since his Worky Quad purchase...
  22. That's because you use it for forestry not climbing, we've seen the pictures.
  23. Aside from this exhaust cover melting, the spark plug covers of both vanished never to be seen again.
  24. Have you any other mode other than sarcastic? I pray you eventually grow out of just being a mocking twunt. Are you like this around children too?
  25. Yes, that's occured.
