  1. Past hour
  2. Not very pc Mark, but very true
  3. A few pointers here Chipper bearings Bob
  4. Wordle 1,627 5/6 🟨⬜⬜🟨⬜ 🟨⬜🟨🟨⬜ ⬜🟩🟨🟩⬜ 🟩🟩⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  5. That and just trying to grasp the easiest low hanging fruit, just to be seen to be doing something. I imagine wood burner smoke is a very small proportion of the total air pollution, compared to the millions of cars and lorries on the roads and aircraft in the skies. Maybe they think they can cancel out the effects of all the extra runways they're intent on building, dreamers.
  6. Lucky you. I imagine he is a pleasure to talk to. He had some good stuff to say when I heard him interviewed quite recently. I hadn't realised he was English until then.
  7. Mici, Romanian beef and pork sausages. With a generous helping of sour cream and garlic, (raw). Bloody lovely.
  8. We can both share Alex's vintage suet. I'm sure he won't mind posting it off.
  9. weird, for all the things out there slating Trump, I rarely see art - the world has changed, video clips, ticktocks and twatterings - the quick fixes, but it takes a special effort to create proper artworks.
  10. Chipper is making a right noise and have ordered new bearings, is it a big job? Ive changed bearings on stuff before so hoping this wont be any different. But would be great to get some advice and tips from anyone that has done this? Im thinking we chipped those bloody Cabbage Palms Cordyline australis way back and that did the damage as it blocked the chipper and problems started after!
  11. The government can’t tax the firewood market sufficiently, that’s all there is to it.
  12. Just a Tesco packet mix mate.
  13. Little difference between that and a garden bonfire, and little difference to the heating of the house too.
  14. Indeed. I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr Steadman and his family. My good friend runs his social media accounts and occasionally leaves wooden spoons to dissolve in a vat of birthday chilli. HST would be livid.
  15. Today
  16. You cant tell me burning painted timber is going to be good!?
  17. i agree with the muppet bit. This person trots out all the old wives tales - that you can burn ash/cypress green or its fine if you get the fire hot, that he has found a patch of standing dead wood etc.
  18. Muppet . ( not you ! ) People need educating about seasoning wood . There is green wood fresh cut , there is seasoned wood that has got wet from rain ans seasoned wood that is dry . Its not hard if you can get them to understand the process .
  19. Yes , its good . Very hard .
  20. It won't be long before there is a "pay per log" tax on wood burners.
  21. Do you know if this would be any good as firewood if seasoned
  22. Its all about the fuel. One of the dirtiest smoke clouds I have seen was when a neighbour decided to burn some green wood fresh wet from his garden. Yes it was still dirty after burning for an hour, yes it was a modern ecodesign efficient stove.
  23. If Europe wants a war, we are ready to fight now, says Putin APPLE.NEWS The president accused European powers of changing peace proposals for Ukraine with "demands" that... The beloved by some EU cartel would shit themselves if he turned west, you’d soon see all barriers to UK participation in all things over the channel drop then. Thankfully the EU army bollocks still plays second fiddle to NATO.
  24. Maybe if Paris FC concentrated more on football and less on jealousy looking at others they’d be further up the table.
  25. What was in yours? I've never cooked them. My dad used to, I've find memories of steak and kidney pie with dumplings.
  26. Will not take long if square plot, I use to do a area of trees 25m wide and 750m long, landed up doing it in section then move truck down with suppliers. I always only ever filled knap sack with 10 litres kinder on back if ground is uneven..
