You are off on the wrong tangent. One of the reasons these attacks occur is the unwillingness of some communities and families to report behaviour that is suspicious or potentially harmful. You are probably never going to change that behaviour willingly especially amongst groups who consider themselves culturally, religiously and ideologically different from the majority in their adopted country. Its a huge problem that not just the UK is facing. One of the solutions might well be a " hard reset".That could encourage people to keep an eye on their own kin, for the ultimate benefit of the entire population. I don't understand your problem here. Everyone should have the capacity to defend themself. If not you stand a significantly higher chance that you only have yourself to blame when you're unable to handle a situation where a nutter goes nuts. Situational awareness isn't just about fighting, it's also about avoiding conflict. Whatever it takes to get home safe. You probably have a moral duty to look after those who are weaker than you too.
