Hi all,

Recently had a chainsaw stolen so am now in the market for a new one. It was a stihl ms271 with an 18 inch bar that I would use for chogging down a stem. Was just going to replace like for like as I found it had reasonable power and seemed well balanced, but thought id ask what you guys use for chogging down?

I'm thinking of getting a 562xp at some stage, how much did you pay for it in Euro? Thanks.

Can't remember what I paid now, with the strength of the pound it could work out a good deal over here for you lot. It was about 9€ More than the 560. It's the same saw. I just bought it 'cos it was in front of me. I can't tell the difference performance wise.

Indeed, the 562xp has the large bar mounts for running 3/8" chain. I'll be in the market for a 60cc saw at some stage and it's either the 562 or the Stihl 362. The fact that i have an Oregon 15" 3/8" bar and a 20" 3/8" Husqvarna bar out in the shed with chains for both may swing it for the 562xp.
