Health & Safety and Compliance Officer

Location: Midlands but other locations/Home based considered for the right candidate

Salary: £24k + car

 

Following several new business wins Glendale wishes to appoint a new position of Health & Safety and Compliance Manager. This will be at the junior manager grade with the opportunity for a high-performing manager to progress to the next manager grade. Health & Safety and regulatory compliance is a priority for Glendale and its customers. The role will report to the Glendale board director responsible for Health & Safety. The role will require national travel to support and monitor Glendale’s operations that stretch from Inverness to The Scilly Isles.

 

The candidate will hold a Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH) and be able to show evidence of monitoring, reviewing, preparing and publishing policies and procedures that apply in multi-site operations. In addition evidence of the use of continuous improvement will be desirable.

 

The role will require excellent communication skills in both verbal and written communication, as well as influencing and negotiating skills to ensure that all sites develop their Health & Safety and compliance culture in a consistent manner.
