Advertise on Youtube?

Anyone ever thought of advertising on Youtube? or making a short DVD of your treework to give to potential clients? There's hundreds of these types of vids from American treecare companies on YT. You could post a link to the vid from your website.

 

Seem like a good idea? would the great British public go for it? I wonder....

It's a good idea if you can control the feedback. Unfortunately, I've seen some good clips attract horrendous and undeserved flak from west coast axemen types who think they know everything, and I think that could drag it down in the minds of people who don't know much about tree work - eg potential customers.

 

One of the best examples I've seen is that Nick bailey clip on your youtube page, nailer. As well as being a good clip, people are queuing up to praise it.

Cheers Quickthorn. Youtube does allow you to control comments on your vids if you want to.

 

For anyone thinking of it, if you mention `tree surgeon` and `your town` in the title, it`ll be on the front page of Google soon enough. That one I just did took 3 days to get listed. I know web designers that charge £300+ for websites that get nowhere near the first page. For 2 hours of your time and at zero cost, you can get your business advertising on Google. If you can`t be bothered, send me a cheque for £200 + vat and I`ll do it for you.
