6 tree crane job

not exciting, but its something

6 Aspens, hanging over a building, dead tops, massive inclusions, previously leaders had fallen out, deemed unsafe to rig

Quite mundane for a crane job, could have gone smoother, and bigger but snappy poor condition trees, heavy leaves and new crane driver made cautious going on some.

learnt a new trick though, when doing tops where i wanted the chains low on thick wood, but meaning the top would flip, i put one or two slings higher up looping the chain and thinner up-rights tight together, thus stabalising the top, but the thinner bits wer'nt taking the full weight. might be contriversial, but it worked

Re: 6 tree crane job

Good stuff. Do you mean you were chaining the pieces fairly low, but using slings to stabalise to the brash to stop it flipping over?

Re: 6 tree crane job

Do you always do a step cut when lifting with crane as I was told when I did my first crane Job to cut right through and it didn't work too well but was ok
