Avant on ebay yesterday was a scam!

I bid and won what looked like a genuine ebay sale:

The subsequent emails and invoices from 'ebay' rang alarm bells, and contacted ebay to see if it was real. The sale was real, but the invoice I received wasn't, and then they wanted money to be transferred to an account - well i obviously told them to go and do one.

 

Real shame because I thought I had bought a good-un and not too cheap to think this isn't right.

 

Anyone else on here bid for it?

It was pointed out as a bit sus a few weeks ago . He had lots of other tractors all on at once . \At least you did not part with any wonga ! Its rife on fleabay i'm afraid .

Things that gave that listing away. No actual description of condition and did not list as I am selling or entering. Also a seller who has not had a review since 2007 indicates a hijacked acct.

I saw it and asked for the year and serial number. It was not forthcoming, so I reported to ebay who as usual did nothing. I sold a chipper to a guy with 350 hours on it, who sold it on ebay with only 25. He had clocked it, and I reported this to ebay, who did nothing. They are useless in stopping this kind of scam. I brought my avant on ebay, but it was a genuine seller with good feedback, an adressnand landline phone. I suspect your machine was stolen, probably by the same gang who nicked my crusher

I eyed this as well, but declined to bid after seller would not respond to viewing the item in typical broken english but prompting to return email dialogue. It's now for sale at Search For avant loader Adverts in Bristol & South West, so have reported it.

 

I've been scammed b4 do afraid I treat Ebay same as Gumtree now.
