Hi i have 2 sachs dolmar 123 saws but 1 of them wont pull over right unless u take the plug out. With plug in it pulls up half way and when u try and pull further its lifting saw off the floor even with the weight of my foot and hand on it. If u pull the cord up slowly it pulls all the way out. As any one any ideas why? Thanks

Try swapping the starter pull covers over and see if its that . If not there could be any number of reasons damage to the piston / bore , crank bearings foreign body in there jamming etc ....

Thank u both for replying.Without the spark plug it pulls over normal so i no nothing jamming anything.I have never put fuel in the saw so not fuel issue. Its only does it when u put the spark plug in.I will take the exhaust off and try beginning to think it might be blocked.

If it pulls over fine without the plug then logic suggests that the plug is the problem

Are both saws the same if so take the plug out of the other one and see if they are the same length below the seating washer that they seal onto when screwed in

I suspect the one in the saw that wont pull over is probably a few mm longer and hitting the piston

Took the plug out of the other .Already said at beginning that with plug in it will pull all the way out if u pull slow.Tried without exhaust no change.Put petrol in and it pissed out of bottom [crack in bottom of tank] so least of my probs with the saw. Thanks for the replies.
