Need assistance with another tree ID please. 2 pics below of foliage/flowers and stem. Looks like a Malus or Pyrus spp to me but the flowering in mid June and the clusters of small flowers on stalks put me off, most fruit trees would flower pre leaf emergence in April/May wouldn't they? Tree is mature but only 5m or so tall, dbh maybe 25-30cm.

Any ideas? Thanks

I'll 2nd Cotoneaster frigidus the Himalayan Tree Cotoneaster.

Introduced from the... erm Himalayas :blushing: around 1824. Flowers will yield bright red berries which will stay on until following spring. These will attract wood pidgeons, blackbirds and thrushes during harsh cold snaps when they can't find anything else to eat. Remaining berries then tend to all drop simultaneously as new leaf buds start to swell and open around end April beggining of May
