Advice needed..

A friend has got a fairly large apple tree that split last Autumn due to the weight of the fruit and the branch is now resting on the tree house .

Removal of the split branch is not an option as it is fairly structural and you would loose half of the crown.

I have recommended that they reduce the branch to decrease some of the weight but also to prop the branch up so that its not resting of the tree house. Is this the most appriopriate solution?

What is the best way to prop up a branch/how do you create the prop?

Any comments/advice welcome :001_smile:
