Just interested to hear what sort of monthly figures people spend on a yard and what are you able to do there? Burn etc. Got one yard myself but may be taking on another it just seems a bit steep. Cheers

£50.00/week which includes 50x50ft lockable barn bay, yard parking for 3x vehicles, timber compound and field for goats......oh and 20mins mowing per fortnight at the landlords house which covers rent for field and compound

it is pal, we have to do bits of tree work occasionally on his land along the river banks.

£600 a year for 3 big sheds 2 shipping containers all hardcore area of 1000 square metres, can burn and do as I wish!

Shipping containers alone are fetching £12.50 a week just for storage around here (with no mess or noise for the Landlord) so that is a cracking deal.

It's been £500 for 12 year and it's been put up to a massive £600!

I do pay business rates tho

Couple of links to places in Sussex to give you and idea of prices and sizes, I rented a stable for £65 pcm from one of the farms, most of the farmers would do parking and possible further yard space if approached.

£650 + rates and it goes up by 5% each year ! Coming out of it the end of this month

 

Can no longer burn

Practically a mud bath

Been broken into and landlord doesn't seem too care even after being their 7 years and doing various work for him !

Paying for CCTV that occasionally works

Pay for usage of toilets but yet the cespit ( can't spell ) takes in rain water and overflows and stinks like mad in the summer

Single track entrance so if someone's already half way up the lane one of you has too reverse all the way back

 

 

Maybe I'm just too picky but for £650 + rates a month surely I'm allowed to be ?!
