MTD chipper vac.

I can pick one of these up cheap.Its been stored in a gardeners lockup for a fair while.I had a look while pulling out some other gear.Looks complete, and my mate says its not needed and could be got rid of as its taking up space.

Anyone got one/used one? Is it worthwhile or just a gimiky contraption.A look on youtube has a couple of advert type offerings, and on the face of it, it might be just the ticket come autumn for some jobs clearing leaves, twigs etc on large lawns.On the other hand it might sit in my garage unused as in its former life.
