To fell or not to fell?
I looked at this tree last week, It has an large bowl of compensation growth around the base, My client says in the three years she had lived hear is has grown enormous. Obviously the tree has sufferd some internal tissue dammage and has reacted well.
My problem is this tree is very close to the house and it leans that way. The tree is approx 60ft tall with a large full crown which starts at about 30ft. It stands in open land with little coverage from other trees. |

Fell id say 60ft close to the house with a 30ft crown its only going one way by the sounds

Pics would help. What species is it? Another big help.
If the tree seems to be reacting well. But there is an obvious defect. Then investigate it further. Maybe a Picus investigation?
