Description
  • Shelf like red/brown bracket growing between butresses, covered in a varnish like resinous layer. Pores white to yellow.
Host Species
  • Commonly Beech also Oak.
Mode Of Decay Significance
  • Can cause windthrow.

Notes
  • Top layer also has a sweet bee's wax-like scent
