Think Nathan from Home Forestry said he'd built some so maybe worth speaking to him - he's on here somewhere.

There's a guy who I don't think's based too far from you Sam (maybe not Cumbria but somewhere North of Yorkshire and below Scotland), who built the one at Grizedale. Met him a while back but can't rememember his name :blushing:

Do you not fancy building one?

Cheers fella. I fancy building one at some point, a nice big timber shed would be nice as well. However this is for a college dissertation job I'm doing about possible diversification - so I need an idea of costs, time etc. :001_smile:

No prob. IT's something tht's on my to do list at some point too but it never seems to get any closer

Might not get much useful info for costs in relation to UK, but there's shedloads of US based websites that might help with timescales etc - Log home Builders Association and International Log Builders Association could be a good start :001_smile:

Cheers, I've been on the Log Home association one already. It's got some corkers on. It's something I'm seriously thinking about for the future - either one of these Scandinavian type timber frame/birch clad jobs or a full timber abode in the woods. It's relatively cheap, very cool, and would be built just how I fancy it.

Another option is this, a bit quicker than timber and cheaper too Modern self build house kits from Hebridean Contemporary Hom
