Pull up/chin up bar

Just fitted one of those bars in my bedroom door frame. I've had one in previous houses and they work pretty well but they can leave marks in the wood and I was wondering if there is anything better out there. I've seen an advert somewhere with one that just hooks on the wall above the door frame and stays up simply by levering into the wall as body weight is applied. I've also have some gravity boots so I can hang upside down and do inverted situps - just did a few earlier and they are killers!

Climbers dont have to workout!

 

not less they spent too much time in a mewp or using a stenna lift!

I used to love going to the gym because often I was the only person there and I could do a good workout but I can't find such a gym now so I just do a few exercises around the house, in addition to the good workout I get from climbing.

That tackle looks good mozza. The one I'm interested in is the P90x which you just hook above the door - no screws or other gear needed

i use the metolius rock rings, awesome bits of kit and great for rock climbing too. also good if you travel alot they pack down small and can be uased anywhere.

I bought some gravity boots a couple of months ago but havent figured what to hang from yet. Going to try a barbell threaded through two steel rings screwed into a beam:001_huh: I bought them to help stretch out.

They are good. I just hang off my pull up bar which is one of those that press between the door frame. Not fell on me napper yet!

Over use of simple climbing systems such as the vt has led to a startling increase in the amount of unfit climbers.
