trailer with crane from riko

I am wondering if anyone has seen or used this trailer and crane set up from riko, COT15-330 Riko UK :: COT15-330.

We are looking at it - all be in advance of next years budget so a little ahead.

I see there is an option for petrol engine powerpack, is this needed or would a 45hp john deere 3720 tractor be ok to run off its hydraulics?

our max towing weight is same as trailer capacity so that limits going for anything larger.

not for serious forestery, just assisting in an estate with routine felling and windblow next to drives etc, sometimes only 10 - 20 ton a year max.

we are a long way from riko (aberdeenshire) so popping round for a look or a demo may not be easiest.

Whats everyones thoughts?

Not bad little trailers and surprising what they can pick up, we have the road tow version with power pack and it's brilliant for picking up bits when your on your own. It also has a sliding bed to even out the weight distribution over the axles rather than nose of the trailer.

I have found they are well built with a lot of thought gone into the setup of the trailer.

Go for the larger lifting capacity crane if you can as you will find it better.
