Weed wipers!

Hi

Has anyone got any views or experience with these??

I have some jobs which they may be useful for but don't know how practical/user friendly they are.

One of the jobs is using them for spots where the crop is very susceptible to spray (guards on the lance isn't an option).

The other job is catching bracken once it out grows the crop.

I realise they will be slow to use, but slow is better than dead trees!!!!

Any replies welcome!!!!

Fortunately, its years since I used one, but I hated them. Slow, the wick always seemed to be either dry or dripping chemical everywhere. I just never got on with them. Plus points are they're easier to carry than a sprayer and they're not a grass hook, and less likely to damage trees than a strimmer.
