Quick check on Aspen 4.... adding oil.

Have bought three cans of Aspen 4 for the chainsaw.... Husky 550Xpg

The dealer wasn't sure if it's okay to add oil to the Aspen 4 to make it a 2 stroke mix (50:1).

I've got a load of Stihl synthetic oil to get through which is why I went for Aspen4 instead of Aspen 2.

Before I use it, just double checking; is it okay to add Stihl oil to Aspen 4?

Cheers, Steve

Hi,

Anything that will mix with pump fuel will mix with Aspen.

I am sure you understand it will not be as good as Aspen2.

But you will get lower fumes and constant fuel.

Please email [email protected] or phone me on 07568108953 if you need any more info or help.

All the best

Eddie

Filled the Husky 550 up with Aspen4 this morning. Works a treat. No smoke, no nasty feeling at the back of the throat, no headaches and the saw started first or second pull.

I can see why people use Aspen now. Yeah it's a lot more expensive but I think it's worth it.

Cheers, steve
