Went to buy a stihl 201 from Charlies today, got told they need to see a licience so asked which licience they need to see suggesting cs30/31, cs38,cs39 etc he replied "the one that says top handle on it" I asked which one that is, he replied "you need to ask 'the chainsaw board'..." am I missing something.... is there a licience or even a 'chainsaw board'?? :confused1: :confused1: :confused1:

Haha no "licence " as such what he ment is a cs39 ticket and no "chainsaw board" he menu nptc.

haha thats what I thought I tried to explain what a cs39 is but I think he'd be happier if I took in a home made 'licence' with 'top handle chainsaw licence' written on it

Sounds like a jobsworth.

For a start there is no such thing as a chainsaw license.

Ask him if he has his Multi national haberdashers license? When he asks what it is explain he shouldn't be offering items for sale without one and then call 999.

Ha ha! Those unlicensed haberdashers really grind my gears...

Sounds allot like my local stihl dealer, I don't go there anymore...

Was at a woodturning club meeting on chainsaws and asked our member who is also a dealer, if i could buy a top handled saw,NO! came the reply, he would need to see a copy of my climbing license and send a copy to stihl before they would release the saw. WHAT!!!
