Ford Ranger rear indicators / bad earth?

I've just returned from a little jaunt up north and as I was pulling into the street, the indicators started playing up. Not flashing, and the chime indicating I'd left the key in the ignition humming slightly. I tried the hazards and the rear stop/tail lights are flashing instead.

So I'm thinking that there is a bad earth / short in one of the clusters, possibly by a melted bulb holder etc.

Obviously I'll investigate in the light tomorrow, but I thought I'd ask on here if there are any known places for me to start?

Anyone had this and know where I should point the WD40 first? :thumbup1:
