Hi everyone, I'm currently self employed in north yorkshire but after breaking up with my girlfriend I would like to do some travelling and work while I'm away. I'm currently looking for jobs where I can do some skiing (Europe, cheaper flights!) but after that I'll be looking further a field... Anywhere! I surf too so I like the idea of NZ... If anyone has any advice/links/threads which might help me I'd love to hear about it. Was offered a job doing maintenance in a ski resort but i'd prefer to be in the trees!

25 years old. 18 months climbing. CS30,31,38,39..and I can just about help a conversation in French!

Many thanks!

Ali

If the relationship is definitely done for good. Start the ball rolling now. The younger the better from a working visa point of view for you and aim big now Oz or Nz. Then if it takes a while for you to get things sorted go to EU meantime.

I only ever went Rome for medical treatment twice before going to NZ. Never been abroad before Been back 3 times since. Use the search box in the toolbar at the top of the forum. Lots of mileage on this subject. pm a couple who have done it, you can't beat being in the know.

If you go don't forget to keep us posted on here.

Everybody seems to shut down for christmas leave it while next year mode, but apart from that its continuous. It down to you to check daily. But as suggested if you chase up things it should materialise quicker.

yeah go for it. I have worked in NZ and Sweden having come from the Uk..in fact im still in Sweden. for 5 years...i just wish i had made more use of working holiday visas and done OZ and Canada as well! Auckland although expensive could be up your street, Some big companies lots going on, You have surfing in Murwai and Piha but the rips are savage! But found the locals really friendly the only thing is if you work all week your stuck with the weekend crowd line ups. Your only a hour or two from surf beaches further north and then also you can do a weekend trip up to Shipwreck Bay. Seriously go for it!!
