Im new to this so bare with me , :001_smile:,

Im currently looking for a bigger (STIHL) saw, i currently have a 201t and 261 so looking for something to pull a 25-30" bar&chain, for bigger felling/chogging down etc...

narrowed it down to 441, 460 and 660.

does anyone have many pros/cons against the 441,??

used the 460 last week, loved it but av's bit poor,

660 is well expensive but would give me the option to swing a 36" bar :001_tongue:.

thanks.

a 460 and 660 are pretty closed matched on 25" bars, you just get the extra grunt available from the 660 for the bigger bars, ive not used a 460 much but own a 660 and find it brilliant, had it on a 20" bar for a while and it was brilliant. on a 25" it was still just as good!

I actually cut side by side with Andy collins once, I was using a 460 and he was using a 660 on a poplar trunk. My saw was cutting through it quicker. He did have a brand new chain on his though and mine had been hand filed. I'd like to redo the test one day both using brand new chains
