any one got a flip line they no longer use

hi people as the title suggests im after a flip line i know some people don't use them some people do i would buy one but as i don't do massive amounts of climbing just yet cant justify splashing out on one just yet and find using soft strops a pain in the bum can anyone help out a fellow arborist if not then not to worry cheers Phil

I am not sure of how wise it would be to use a 'cast off' flip line.

 

you never know how much the previous owner attached it to the mog to drag logs, chippers and fiat pandas out of boggy ditches.

 

Even if it was 'looked after' you never really know...

just read the post and will be watching tonight when kids are in bed fair comments lads can i use pulley with vt as i do with my soft strop if so which would be the best pulley ?

 

The short answer is YES, ... But you need to put a soft link somewhere in the system so that it can be cut away in a rescue situation.

e.g a small dyneema cut away strap girth hitched to a side D then put your caribiner into the strap.
