Idling a 560 for more than 3 minutes.

It has been said that idling the 560 for more than 3 minutes will send it back to factory default settings .

So I tried it for 4 minutes and it makes no difference that I could notice.

Saw was hot When I did it and afterwards it started first pull.

People get all worked up over this auto tune thing. dont mess with it, dont try to reset it, dont worry about it.

 

Its not called 'manual' tune, its 'auto' tune. Everything you need to know about it is in the name ;-)

The point was raised that it effects the saw in a negative way , it does not seem to.

I don't have starting problems with this saw

Mine is a temperamental pain in the a*** but only on a warm start after refueling. We recently went from stihl oil to husky oil and it didn't seem to like it. So let it idle for a bit maybe 4 to 5 mins and it seams to have sorted itself out. Have also done it when the air temperature chances rapidly. So if it's a warm and dry winters day when you switch it off it then doesn't seem to run right when you start it in the snow and ice next time/day so I let it reset then but overall it doesn't need it really.
